My name is Lisa Post and I have been an Orangeville resident for over 25 years. I am married with 2 kids, aged 18 & 12 and last year, I started my own business, Written Works. I am currently the co-chair of the Board of Directors for Hospice Dufferin and I am a board member for both Community Living Dufferin and for Community Safety Partners. I am on the organizing committee for Celebrate Your Awesome and I am a member of the town’s Arts & Culture Committee.
You may recognize my name from the last municipal election. After the 2014 election, it was very important to me to stay involved in the municipal process even though I was unsuccessful in winning a seat. I started this blog, In My Humble Opinions, in December 2014 as a way to share my opinions while keeping residents informed on the happenings at Town Hall.
I believe that as residents of Orangeville, we deserve a Council who are committed to working collaboratively to make educated decisions on behalf of the taxpayer and I am ready to bring an open mind, integrity and the spirit of cooperation to the table. I am passionate about efficient spending, maximizing our existing resources and community unity and I am ready to work hard to bring a strong voice of reason to Council Chambers.
On October 22nd, 2018, I am inviting you to vote for positive change in Orangeville! I am proud to be a resident of this great community and I am committed to ensuring that the people of Orangeville are proud to have me as your representative. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me by email, phone or Facebook to discuss any issues that are on your mind for this upcoming election.
